Antennas
The Avaya Wireless Extender Antennas are an indoor device with 5-dBi
performance. They can improve wireless transmission distances by
15 to 30%. They can also improve data transmission speed, because
Avaya Wireless devices perform automatic rate fallback. For example,
if the radio transmission is not strong enough to support the maximum
data rate of 11 Megabits per second (Mb/s), the system automatically
falls back to 5.5 Mb/s, 2 Mb/s or even 1 Mb/s. In this way, the
Extender Antennas can be your most important ally in optimizing
wireless performance.
The Extender Antennas are compatible with every Avaya Wireless indoor
device that uses a PC Card radio. These include the AP-2, AS-1 and
all clients that use PC Cards either directly or through the adapters
or converters.
